Cingulate gyrus

The cingulate gyrus is a section of the brain located in the frontal lobe.  It is a curved fold covering the corpus callosum and is a part of the limbic system.  Its function is to assist with the processing of emotions and regulate behaviors.  If this part of the brain is damaged cognitive, behavioral, and emotional disorders may become present.
