Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) is a protein in the human brain that supports the growth and maintenance of neurons. It is considered a neurotrophin, capable of generating new brain cells through a process known as neurogenesis. It is a critical factor for optimizing memory, learning, and overall cognition. Without BDNF, your brain would not be able to create new neural pathways or heal itself.
